This 190,000 square foot facility was built on the State of Illinois Fairgrounds and consolidates all offices of the Department of Natural Resources and its 600 employees. The building was constructed in one phase and includes general office space, an auditorium, a cafeteria, and interpretive/education center. Henneman Engineering was responsible for mechanical, electrical (including lighting design), and plumbing/fire protection engineering, commissioning, information technology (including telecommunications, data, and security control), and all related site work (including utilities and parking).
