Expansion and Renovation
Stephenson Public Library

The renovation consisted of a 1903 library building (8,650 square foot renovation) and a 1979 building addition (14,000 square foot addition). The new addition consisted of a new entry vestibule, workroom and two stair towers. The renovation was consistent with the historical relevance of the building, while the new addition added a contemporary feel.
All lighting, heating and ventilating systems were designed as energy efficient systems. Henneman Engineering provided mechanical, electrical including lighting, plumbing and fire protection design engineering.
